Are you one of the unfortunate people stuck in a cellphone contract you are unhappy with? You may assume that it is cheaper to leave the company you are unhappy with and pay the early termination fee.   Once you find out how much you will have to pay for the Sprint Early Termination fee, you may decide that is not the best option.  Early termination fees can run as high as $350 for Sprint smartphones.

If Sprint has broken the terms of the contract and made material changes, you may have a short 30 day window to get out of your contract.  However most of us will need to bite the bullet and pay the one time fee.  You can easily recoup some of the early termination fee by reselling your old Sprint Smartphone.  There is quite a market for phones like this on ebay and Craigslist.

Once you compare the old plan and the new plan, if you determine the monthly cost savings will be significant, it may make financial sense to break the contract and pay the fee.
