Stay At Home Mom or Dad
We never thought we would be a stay at home Mom or Dad. We were married nearly eight years before we had our first child. It was not for a lack of trying. Pretty much had tried every fertility option that was available to us back in the day. For some reason I still had quite a difficult time getting pregnant. After a miscarriage and having such a difficult time, when I finally was pregnant with my first child I struggled with going back to work after the baby was born. After 8 weeks off for a C-Section, I returned to work at my corporate management position at GE Capital. I worked hard, I loved my job but honestly I could not deal with what I was missing at home. I felt like my child was growing up without me.
Working In The Corporate World
I had been corporate minded and never in a million years thought I would ever be a mom who stayed home with the kids. (Nothing wrong with staying home with the kids, just did not think it was my cup of tea) Finally I cashed in my 401K (NOT recommended due to serious tax repercussions), paid off my bills and decided we would have to get by on less money. Of course, I had the okay of my hubby who was having a hard time understanding how his corporate executive wife could so quickly give up the career for our little one but still supported me 100%. There are limited options to work from home and I had a few customer service and research positions I was able to do from home at a much lower pay grade than what I had earned at GE. At one point I even had a home daycare just to make ends meet. Not pretty I can tell you.
Decision to Stay Home With The Kids
If you are a parent, either a mom or dad who has made the decision to stay home with the kids, you may be wondering if there are any real work at home jobs for moms or dads. Most stay at home moms and dads work hard and employers would be lucky to have them, however it is still difficult to find great business opportunities or stay at home work. There are stay at home business systems, craigslist ads, questionable ads online and in the local newspaper and lots of network marketing opportunities. How are you supposed to figure out what is right for you?
The key is to stay focused, be diligent and do your homework. Stay at home work for moms and dads is available. After earning little and working crazy hours, one job I was on call 24 hours a day and raising three little ones, one with mild cerebral palsy after ECMO and one with autism. I think I was about to lose my mind. Instead of taking the crazy path I took, learn from my mistakes. I finally figured out that a business that I can work on my schedule fits better with my family needs. I now work for myself as a member for Beyond Healthy Chocolate Company.
Beyond options for Stay At Home Mom or Dad
I love Beyond . Their healthy chocolate is a patented cold pressed chocolate that you can’t find in the stores. It is healthy and a high antioxidant solution. Now they have even expanded to offer digital products that are in great demand. Beyond is so popular. Everyone I know loves chocolate and there is a lot of science to back it up. I highly recommend that you find a business that makes sense for you, something you can do online or locally. I picked Beyond because it was the best of both worlds. I love helping others improve their health, grow their business and honestly it is a lot of fun. The new wealth building bonus takes the compensation plan through the roof making by far the most lucrative that I am aware of. If you want to start making serious money and have the drive to succeed, we need to talk.
