Years ago I stopped drinking soda and started drinking more iced tea and water. I cut out all sugar and artificial sweeteners. At the time I made the choice because of concerns I had with artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup.  Over the years however I have found that increasing your water intake is vital for good health.  It also shaves off unnecessary wasted calories in sugary drinks.

Not only is it a benefit to stay hydrated in SW Florida, Sanibel Island and Siesta Key, it is also a great way to keep fit. Individuals that drink 8-10 glasses of water per day lose more weight or remain at a healthy weight than those who prefer sugary drinks.

When I first started drinking more and more water, I could not stand it.  I craved my Coca Cola.  Now I can’t live without my water. The best thing you can do for yourself is to make sure you are staying hydrated and drinking plenty of water. Years ago I suffered repeatedly with kidney stones. They are not fun and are very painful. Staying hydrated lessens your risk of kidney stones.  It made a significant difference for me.
