Can Chocolate Help You Lose Weight?
Lose weight eating dark chocolate sounds like an impossible task. I mean really, chocolate is candy so how can it help you lose weight? Not so fast. All chocolate is not the same and studies are showing the benefits of antioxidant rich dark chocolate. So technically the type of chocolate you eat could make all the difference. 😍

There are concerns about this study as just any candy chocolate will not do. You don’t want to be eating high sugar candy chocolate. This is why I choose to eat the Beyond Healthy Chocolate with low sugar and low calorie content.
My Diet Includes Chocolate
I personally am dieting and I enjoy eating small individually wrapped chocolate squares for cravings. Instead of making me gain weight, they seem to help curb my cravings and make it easier for me to lose weight as I am not snacking on high calorie foods. My diet hack is to enjoy a piece of healthy chocolate before every meal with a glass of water and another before I go to bed. This does help curb my cravings. Chocolate Diet Progress
I have been dieting since November, taking a break around the holidays. I am down 23 pounds on a plant based diet called BodyMelt. In addition to their plan, I am having 3-4 Beyond healthy chocolates before meals and for snacks. I prefer the Xobiotic Squares but the Power Squares are nice if you like extreme dark chocolate. No matter what diet plan you are on, these chocolates seem like a good choice for cravings and snacks. If you are doing KETO, these are a great choice. Diabetics like myself often have a hard time losing weight because of high blood sugar. These chocolates don’t seem to cause a problem with that. 🙏
Vegetarian or KETO?
Don’t worry my Vegetarian and KETO friends, as these chocolates are good for you too. 🚶 In fact, one piece of this healthy chocolate is just 1 gram of sugar and 1 net carb. For those counting calories, 1 piece is only 35 calories. What is more fascinating to me is that just one piece is equal to over one pound of raw spinach. I don’t know about you, but I can bet most of us would rather eat healthy belgian chocolate instead of a pound of raw spinach. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good salad, just not all the time. 😄
